Supplies for Smiles began with a simple idea: that families in Columbus, Ohio could make a real difference for children thousands of miles away. A community of friends, family members, and neighbors came together with one shared belief — that every child deserves the tools to learn.
We started with La Salud Elementary School in Michoacán, Mexico, and we are already expanding to Ignacio Zaragoza Elementary. Our mission is to reach underserved school communities across Mexico — one school at a time.
What started as a small collection drive has grown into a sustained effort to provide school supplies, technology access, and teacher support — because we believe that when children have what they need to learn, entire communities are transformed.
We believe access to quality education is a fundamental right for every child, regardless of where they are born.
Our strength comes from neighbors helping neighbors — across borders, across cultures, across miles.
100% of donations go directly to students. We are accountable to our donors and to the children we serve.
